Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, here are some steps we are taking to ensure everybody’s safety.

• We ask that no more than customers be in the store at any given moment. We may ask you to wait for a few minutes
• We are cleaning counter surfaces, Point of sale items, and other commonly touched surfaces often
• We ask that you practice social distancing and stay at least 6 feet away for all associates and other customers
• If you are feeling sick, please don’t come in

We remain open, we seem to fit the definition of essential and have pending official status coming from the state.

A few things of note, we can run things out to you in your vehicle. We have hand sanitizer available. We are cleaning surfaces regularly. Background checks are slow, but going through. We are thin on ammo, but have pretty much everything but 5.56. 5.56 is due in any day.

*list means we are getting them but more people want them then we are getting. So if you want them, get on the list and we will call you when we have one and you are next on the list.

The coyote contest is over and 168 dogs were shot.

The 2018 Whitney’s deer contest has started. Here is the deal.

• Come to Whitney’s, pay $5 entry fee
• Go afield, be awesome, shoot a deer
• Tag the deer
• Bring the deer to Whitney’s. All deer are weighted with the same scale.

At the end of muzzleloader season there will be four winners. Biggest deer, biggest deer shot by a youth hunter, smallest deer and one random winner. Smallest deer wins a $25 Whitney’s gift card. Biggest deer gets a $25 WO card. All of the five dollar entry fees will then be split, half of which will go the random winner, half of which will go to the biggest deer shot by a youth hunter.

We are open 9am to noon on the fourth of July. After 12, we are going to be in full on Merica mode.
